Delete your data

Last updated: 15 September 2026

Everything Stride records about your running, including the GPS track, splits, pace, elevation, notes, manual entries, settings and privacy zones, is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it. You can also erase it from inside the app under Profile, Data and privacy, Delete runs on this device.

Data reaches our servers only if you join the optional league by choosing a runner handle, if you enable push notifications, if you use an invite code, or if you write to us through the in-app support. Here is how to remove each of these.

Delete it in the app (instant)

  1. Open Stride and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Open Data and privacy.
  3. Tap Delete my server data and confirm.

This removes your league profile and everything attached to it from our server immediately. It cannot be undone, and it has no effect on the runs stored on your device.

Request deletion (if you no longer have the app)

If you have already uninstalled Stride, email us the runner handle you used in the league. We will delete the matching profile and everything attached to it within 30 days, usually much sooner. We use the handle only to find your profile, and we delete your request once it is handled. If you also wrote to us through the in-app support, mention it and we remove those tickets too.

What gets deleted: your league profile with handle and country, the submitted run summaries, your season results, your pod membership, your crew connections, the duels, reactions and messages you sent, and your push notification token. On request: your support tickets and messages, and the referral record tied to your invite code.

What is not affected: the runs, tracks and settings on your phone, which were never uploaded in the first place. Your purchase history stays with Google Play and is governed by your Google account.
